Are You Sharing the Gospel??

Romans 10:13-15 New International Version

13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[a] 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”[b]

Luther: “The preaching of the Gospel is something lovable and desirable for those who are under the Law (captive sinners). For the Law shows (reveals) nothing but our sin, makes us guilty, and thus produces an anguished conscience; but the Gospel supplies a longed for remedy to people in anguish of this kind. Therefore, the Law is evil, and the Gospel good; the Law announces wrath, but the Gospel peace. (Pastor Matt: when people first hear this they are utterly shocked! How can the Law of God be evil? Because it cannot and will not produce goodness or love! In fact, it was never meant to! God uses the Law to accuse, judge, condemn, and kill. God uses the Gospel to save, resurrect, give life and create love, joy and peace!)
