Do You Want that "New Life"...That God Offers You?

Matthew 25:26-30 New International Version (NIV)

26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Saturday, October 10 Imagine owning a disgusting, beat up truck with rusty holes, beat up seats, balding tires, and no shocks. Then someone comes along and says, “Hey, I just bought a brand new truck and my old one is only two years old with 25,000 miles on it. DO you want it? It’s yours for free.” Would you take it? Jesus has promised to take away our old life of sin, pain, misery and death and give us a new life. Do you want peace? Or constant anxiety and fear. Do you want love? Or anger and frustration. Do you want forgiveness? Or shame and guilt. God is not going to force you to receive what he offers. But why wouldn’t you?!
