"Go And Tell"

Matthew 28:7-10 New International Version (NIV)

7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” 8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

Thursday - April 8

“Go.” This command is given twice to the women. Once by the “angel (messenger) of the Lord” and then by Jesus. “Go and tell.” These women become the first preachers of the Gospel! We have been given the same mandate: “Go and tell!” (See Matt. 28:19). That does not mean that we have to go to Africa on a mission trip or become a pastor. They are told to “go and tell” the people that they already know! Go and tell your kids that Jesus loves them. God and tell your spouse that God’s forgiveness and grace is for them! Give away the good news that YOU have already been given. Go and tell this incredible news that Jesus died to forgive every sin we have done and every sin we will do. Then he rose again to defeat death and give us new life. Don’t keep that to yourself. “Go and tell!” Hallelujah! He is risen!
