Jesus Already Has Found You!

Luke 24:13-16 New International Version
On the Road to Emmaus 13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with
them; 16 but they were kept from recognizing him.

These two men were followers of Jesus before his death on the cross. On the same day that Jesus rose from the dead, they are walking to the village of Emmaus. The Greek word that many Bibles translate as “they were talking” more accurately means “they were debating.” They were arguing over whose fault all this was. Jesus was supposed to be THE savior. Now he is dead, even though some women say he rose from the dead. While they are debating and arguing they missed Jesus. They were lost and blind. They were sheep who were scattered and lost without a shepherd (Isa. 53:6), but Jesus came to find them (Luke 15:4). Jesus has found you, too! Any time you are lost and cannot see Jesus you can trust that he has already found you!
