25 In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit. Friday, October 23 We all love to complain. Facebook is filled with whining and complaining. I often see people post something like this: “I don’t want any comments on my post I just need to say…” That’s called complaining! Even when things are going great we still find things to complain about! We are master complainers. When I complain I am revealing that I think I am the most important person in the world. When someone does something we don’t like we start complaining and make sure they know that we are unhappy! We think, “They should have consulted me!” In the book of Judges, Israel did what was right “in their own eyes.” Self-sacrifice? Faithfulness? Loyalty? Goodness? Kindness? Forgiveness? Why would I do those things? Those don’t get me what I want! Jesus gave Himself completely to you and for you because He loves you! Jesus forgives you and has set you free from the prison of YOU! (John 8:36). Jesus is the cure to our “ME Disease.”
