24 “But in those days, following that distress, “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[a] 26 “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
Wednesday - November 24
Jesus has told us that creation is going to descend into chaos. When? Will it happen before the end? Will it be a signal that the end is near? NO. It will happen when Jesus actually comes back. That is actually a very important point! Jesus is promising that he will return. And he is promising that he will return in “great power and glory.” He is promising that he will gather in His people from all over the earth. You can trust in that promise. You do not need to “read the tea leaves” in order to figure out when he will return. His Word is enough. He has already proven to be faithful and true through His death and resurrection. He will return and gather us to Himself.
