O Little Town of Bethlehem!

Luke 2:4-7 New International Version
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
O Little town of Bethlehem For Christ is born of Mary
How still we see thee lie! And gathered all above
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep While mortals sleep, the angels keep The silent stars go by Their watch of wondering love
Yet in the dark street shineth O morning stars, together
The everlasting Light Proclaim the holy birth
the hopes and fears of all the years And praises sing to God, the King
Are met in thee tonight. And peace to men on earth.
How silently, how silently
The wondrous Gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven
No ear may hear His coming
But in this world of sin
Where meek souls will receive Him still
The dear Christ enters in.
