Pray for Healing...Pray for Others...Just Pray!

Mark 1:32-34 New International Version (NIV)

32 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. 33 The whole town gathered at the door, 34 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

Tuesday - February 9

Jesus rapidly drew a crowd. Everyone had heard about how he cast out demons and taught with authority. Now he had healed a woman who had been on her deathbed! So… everyone who was sick or possessed by some kind of demon was brought to Jesus for healing. We would all do the same thing and, in fact, we do! I do not have the data to definitively say, but what is probably the thing that is prayed for most? Physical healing. This passage shows that we should do that! That is ok. However, we must be careful. Is that all we want from Jesus? Do we only need Jesus when someone has cancer? Or do we need him everyday, in the good times and the bad? Pray for healing! Lift your needs and the needs of others to God. This is good.
