Sacrificial Love
John 14:30-31 New International Version (NIV)
30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come now; let us leave.

Saturday - May 23 - Read John 14:30-31
Jesus is quite clear that there is an evil power (Satan) at work in the world.
This world is not a game, but a battlefield. But Jesus is equally clear that
Satan does not have power and dominion over him. Jesus is going to die
willingly as a sacrifice for others. He does not have to submit to sin, death
and the devil, but he does for our sake. This is the will of the Father: that
through the sacrificial love of Jesus we would receive forgiveness and
salvation. It is a freely given gift. Jesus willingly gives his love away to you!
