The Cross Shows Us We Are LOVED!

Isaiah 35:8-10 New International Version (NIV)
8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. 9 No lion will be there,
nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there, 10 and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

“The Way of Holiness" is how we live after the first Christmas while waiting for Jesus to come again. In Acts the followers of Jesus were called followers of "the Way" (see Acts 22:4). They understood that following "the Way" meant living by faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in the cross of Christ is the "way" to seeing the world in a totally different way. The cross of Jesus shows us that real love is more than just emotions. Instead love is hard work that is often painful and costly. The cross of Jesus shows us that we are loved more than we will ever know. Prayer: Heavenly Father, guide us in the way of faith. Fill our hearts with gladness and joy in Your love and cause sorrow and sighing to flee away. In Jesus' name. Amen.
