The Deep Things of God - Love, Justice, Grace, Mersy, and Forgiveness for YOU!

2 Corinthians 2:8-11 New International Version
8 I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 9 Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

I understand that a father and a son are persons, but how is the Holy Spirit a person? Paul helps us by talking about our “spirit” within us when we think and talk to ourselves. I might think many things but never say them. I keep things hidden in my mind and only my spirit knows what I am thinking and feeling deep down. God, the Father and the Son, actually send out their Holy Spirit to be present with us and reveal to us the inner thoughts and heart of God. The Holy Spirit reveals to us that the cross is God’s act of love and mercy for us. The Holy Spirit reveals that the resurrection is our new life, too. Deep in God’s heart is love for you and me. The work of the Holy Spirit is for you to know that more in your life. What are the “deep things of God?” Infinite love, justice, grace, mercy and forgiveness for you. God loves you.
