The Plan is planned.

Acts 5:22-26 New International Version (NIV)

22 But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there. So they went back and reported, 23 “We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing at the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside.” 24 On hearing this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were at a loss, wondering what this might lead to.

25 Then someone came and said, “Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people.” 26 At that, the captain went with his officers and brought the apostles. They did not use force, because they feared that the people would stone them.

Tuesday - April 21 - Read Acts 5:22-26

The Gospel of Jesus cannot be stopped by force. The Jewish leaders quickly

found this out and later the Romans would discover this when they

persecuted and martyred many followers of Jesus. No matter what we face

in life our God is the God of resurrection and new life. Not even death can

stop Him. That is good news for us personally, but it is also good news for

the world. No matter what happens to us God is with us and no matter what

happens in the world or in our church the Gospel will be proclaimed. If

physical force cannot stop God then a virus definitely can’t.
