Trust In His Promise That You Are Forgiven, Loved, and Redeemed!

Mark 13:28-31 New International Version

28 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 29 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it[a] is near, right at the door. 30 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Thursday - November 25

We lived in Minnesota while I was in seminary. Right outside our apartment were several giant Cottonwood trees. Every summer they dumped their seeds all over the parking lot and every summer my sinuses went crazy. I would have a runny nose and a sinus headache for a week. I also worked on the campus grounds crew, so I got to mow all those seeds that were in the grass! It was so much fun! (NOT). But those seeds were a yearly reminder that summer had fully arrived. Jesus says that when he arrives YOU WILL KNOW! You don’t have to worry about it and you don’t have to try to figure out when it will happen. It will be as obvious as a parking lot filled with Cottonwood seeds. Instead, trust in His promise that you are forgiven, loved, and redeemed. That Word of promise will never pass away.
