With Jesus as Your Center...Let Your Life Be a Blessing To Others!

Ephesians 2:4-10 New International Version (NIV)

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Fri. November 6 Boaz lived a righteous life because of his faith. It was apparent that God was at the center of his life and God was leading him to act righteously. The proof of this comes from the beginning of the book of Ruth. We were told that this story took place during the dark period of Israel’s history when the Judges ruled. There was incredible unfaithfulness and wickedness, but Boaz stood out like a lighthouse in a thunderstorm. When we allow Jesus to be the center of our lives he will make us into “salt and light” (Matt. 5:13-16). Nothing is ours. Everything we have comes to us by the grace of God. God’s love is free and undeserved. When we get out of the way and allow God’s grace to sink deeper into all areas of our lives then God will work in us the good works “prepared in advance for us to do.” Works of love, peace, kindness, righteousness, goodness, and justice. Ask Jesus to be the center of your life and transform your heart that His free grace might transform your daily life to be a blessing to your family, your friends, your neighbors, and even your enemies!
