1 Corinthians 1:27-29

27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.
Thursday - September 1
We love superheroes. Since 2009, Disney has made more than 18 billion dollars from the Marvel movies alone (billion!). We love watching the strong, brilliant, and beautiful heroes save the day. But God has actually chosen us in our daily lives to be His children and share His love. We do this at home when we forgive our family members. We do this at work when we treat our coworkers with kindness and respect and act with integrity. We build loving relationships where God gives us an opportunity to tell someone how much God loves them or invite them to church. Why did God choose to use us in our daily lives? So that no one would boast, except in Jesus and his death and resurrection.
