God Remains True To His Promise of Grace, Mercy, Favor And Salvation!

Genesis 13:1-4 New International Version

Abram and Lot Separate 13 So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. 2 Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. 3 From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier 4 and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord.

What does Abram get in return for his lack of faith in God’s promise? Even more blessing! He leaves Egypt with incredible wealth. He probably also gained a fair amount of servants, such as the Egyptian maidservant, Hagar (Gen. 16). This is the incredible life of faith. Even when we are unfaithful (which is the heart of SIN) God is still faithful. As Paul wrote in Romans 5:8, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God is faithful. HE makes promises and keeps promises. We are sinners who fail over and over again. Thank God that He does not hold that against us, but remains true to His promise of grace, mercy, favor, and salvation!
