God's Love Has Been Poured into Our Hearts!

Romans 5:1-5 New International Version

Peace and Hope 5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Through faith you are innocent, right, and just in God’s eyes. You can stand before God in peace knowing that you will not be judged or condemned because of your faith in Jesus Christ. When you trust in God’s faithfulness and justice in Jesus you are counted as righteous and just. Nothing separates you from God. Now, when you suffer in any way you can know with absolute certainty that God is NOT punishing you and that God is NOT angry with you. Instead, like an athlete, suffering becomes our greatest source of hope that God, who is right, true, and faithful, will make all things new. (Rev. 21:5).
