Jesus Did It ALL...for me

John 14:15-18 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[a] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

What does it mean to obey the commands of Jesus? There is not space here
to answer this fully. Two things important to remember: repentance and
faith. The Greek word that is translated as “repentance” means a “change of
mind.” Jesus desires that we change our minds about Him and God, so that,
instead of believing that we must do something in order to earn God’s love,
we would trust that Jesus has been perfect for us and has made a way for us
to be a part of God’s family. Faith says that the work of Jesus on the cross
and in his resurrection is “for me.” As Jesus said in Mark 1:15, “The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the
gospel.” Obey Jesus by placing your faith in him. He will never leave you.
