"Jesus Loves Me This I Know"

Philippians 3:20-21 New International Version (NIV)

20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Saturday, August 8 - Philippians 3:20-21 When Jacinda and I lived in South Africa we felt fairly comfortable. Most people there speak English so we could easily communicate and get around. However, the longer we stayed the excitement of the new culture and the new experiences began to fade and we began to realize just how out of place we were. When we ran into another American we felt a sense of relief because we had so much in common. In this world we as Christians are lost in a foreign country. We are citizens in God’s kingdom and we are waiting for God to establish that kingdom fully and completely. For now, we cling to our Good Shepherd and trust that Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong. They are weak, but he is strong.
