Wed. August 5 - Matthew 18:12 If you had 100 $1 bills and you lost one you probably wouldn’t get too bent out of shape. Or if you had$1 million in the stock market and you lost $10,000 you still wouldn’t probably care, too much. This parable does not make much sense from an economic standpoint. Why should we take the risk to go search for one sheep that is lost when we have 99 who are safe and secure? Apparently God does not see the lives of those he has made in His own image as if they are numbers on a profit and loss statement. Apparently God doesn’t consider the cost of going after us lost and wayward sinners, either! No matter where you might go astray or how often you might stray from God, you will never stop being precious in his sight.
